Growing up in Narnia-ahem, Alaska, I never had to look far to dream of epic worlds for story settings. It’s one of the darkest parts of the world in the winter, but also the brightest in the summer with the midnight sun, which inspires me to tell stories that emphasize light in dark worlds. When I'm not reading or writing, you can find me at a coffee shop with friends, singing in choir, painting bookmarks, cooking and baking, or taking emotional support trips to the mountains.
My mission is to provide God-honoring stories of hope in dark worlds. To show His love through my books so readers know they’re not alone in their struggles.
My uplifting stories invite you to get lost in rich worlds and authentic characters that leave lasting, meaningful impressions with a sense of victory.
I collect multiple pretty editions of The Hunger Games and Peter Pan.
I reread my childhood favorite, Peter Pan, every year for my birthday.
As a little kid I drew storyboards on old-fashioned computer paper...the kind that's perforated and bordered with little holes. Yes, I'm older than I look, but also growing up in Alaska in the early 2000s was like living perpetually in 1995. My family didn't get rid of dial-up internet until 2009. Horrifying, I know.
I keep a list of fun coffee/tea flavor combinations to try. Toasted marshmallow and cinnamon lattes are a favorite!
Elsa is my spirit princess.
